Description
This 15 hour CPD module offers you the opportunity to:
- deconstruct the mainstream myths and representations of BDSM and Kink that can result in biased or inadequate psychotherapeutic care for this client group
- examine a variety of BDSM and Kink practices and consider the many meanings these may have for clients
- develop insight into the BDSM and Kink community, including etiquette and terminology, so that you can demonstrate a level of knowledge and understanding that welcomes BDSM/Kink clients
- reflect on your own belief systems around BDSM and Kink in order to develop a therapeutic approach that reflects good practice, promotes safe, sane and consensual BDSM and avoids the perpetuation of shame within clients
Candidates who submit and pass a short set of tutor-marked questions will achieve a Certificate of Study worth 15 hours of CPD credit from Pink Therapy.
