Dimensions Of Sexuality

Working with GSRD clients with diverse sexual practices can be daunting for Counsellors, Therapists or Mental Health Professionals who lack preparation. You may encounter unfamiliar sexual practices that you struggle to understand or face dilemmas about using appropriate language. It’s easy to be clouded by your own assumptions and reactions in the therapy room or to be influenced by unhelpful cultural messages that pathologise clients and inhibit their expression.

If you’d like to develop competence working with diverse sexual practices, Pink Therapy’s Sexual Practices online learning CPD module empowers you to be able to offer a confident, welcoming approach to a wide range of clients. Covering the key social, cultural and clinical issues, detailing the diversity you may encounter and demystifying the implications for therapy, this comprehensive module supports you to develop underpinning knowledge and professional expertise within this important aspect of GSRD therapy.

If you select ‘Self study materials only’ you will receive the information for personal learning but won’t need to submit an assignment. If you select ‘Submit an assignment for Certificate Of Study’ you will submit an assignment that will be marked by one of our Faculty. If you pass the assignment, you’ll be issued with a Certificate Of Study from Pink Therapy for 15 hours of online learning. If you don’t pass, you will be given an opportunity to resubmit.
