This course is for Counsellors, Therapists or Mental Health Professionals who’d like to learn how sexual health can be an essential ally in changing out of control sexual behaviour.
In keeping with the call from many leaders in the mental health and sexual health areas to move beyond ‘sex addiction’, ‘sexual compulsivity’, and ‘hypersexuality’ conceptualizations of dysregulated sexual behaviour, Pink Therapy presents the first online course in the Braun-Harvey/Vigorito conceptualization of out of control sexual behaviour (OCSB) framed as a sexual health problem within a larger model of human behaviour, not a psychiatric or addictive disorder.
This is your opportunity to study the first and only online course presented by OCSB expert, Doug Braun-Harvey covering the foundations of OCSB theory as well as step-by-step tools for assessment, treatment planning and treatment implementation.
You’ll gain valuable insight into the OCSB Pathway to collaboratively guide clients in defining their own personal vision of sexual health as the foundation for regaining sexual behaviour control.
The course is based on the approach outlined in the award winning book ‘Treating Out Of Control Sexual Behaviour’ co-authored by Doug Braun-Harvey and Michael Vigorito that’s taken the world of sexology and relationship therapy by storm.
If you select ‘Self study materials only’ you will receive the information for personal learning but won’t need to submit an assignment. If you select ‘Submit an assignment for Certificate Of Study’ you will submit an assignment that will be marked by one of our Faculty. If you pass the assignment, you’ll be issued with a Certificate Of Study from Pink Therapy for 15 hours of online learning. If you don’t pass, you will be given an opportunity to resubmit. If you wish to receive AASECT CE credits, we can submit your assignment to The Harvey Institute who, for a small admin fee, will issue you with 8 AASECT CE’s.
This comprehensive online CPD module consists of 31 video modules covering theory, assessment and treatment issues together with guided reading.
