Diploma in Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) Therapy – Year Two
This optional year two of the GSRD Diploma is tailored for those who have successfully completed and passed the first year, ready to deepen their expertise and clinical skills in GSRD therapy.
Course Structure
The second-year course structure is meticulously designed to ensure clinical excellence and address the complexities faced by GSRD clients. It includes:
-
- Eight comprehensive modules.
- Three detailed case presentations.
- Continued peer support and supervision model from the first year.
- A four-day intensive weekend kickoff, featuring expert tuition from distinguished guest lecturers.
Core and Elective Modules
The program offers a blend of core and elective modules to provide a well-rounded education:
Core Modules
Four essential modules cover critical areas such as:
-
- Working with sex workers
- BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, Masochism)
- Intimate partner violence
- Parenting outside heteronormativity
Each core module includes a two-hour webinar, ensuring in-depth understanding and engagement.
Elective Modules
Students can choose four elective modules, which allow for specialisation in specific areas. These modules are also available as standalone CPD. You will study them in small groups but without webinars. Presentations by leading clinicians and researchers in the field chosen by your cohort will replace the four webinars.
Final Project
In place of a traditional essay, students will create a 15-minute video lecture on a relevant topic. These lectures are shared on the program’s YouTube channel, contributing to the field’s knowledge base and enhancing the students’ teaching skills.
